“An “Extremely” Hospitable Ski Resort?” Oh Yes! Thank you, Larry Olmsted.

Goldlink Lift, Crested Butte

Out for a day of skiing and heading up the Goldlink Lift at Crested Butte Mountain Resort

Larry Olmsted, Lifestyle Contributor for Forbes, was in Crested Butte for a recent ski trip. His comments in his recent online contribution about Crested Butte are very flattering and really capture the heart of what Crested Butte Mountain Resort truly is- user-friendly, no lift lines, great terrain and snow.

Crested Butte has long been known for it’s extreme skiing. Larry’s article touches on the “kinder, softer” Crested Butte. I agree with Larry, but maybe I am a little partial.

I grew up in the south and I wasn’t born a skier. Over the years have to adapt to ski boots and honestly, it is still a battle for me. I actually enjoy a day of groomers and a much needed break from my husband who tends to drag me around the extreme skiing limits of the resort. Larry points out that even though Crested Butte is known for it’s extreme terrain and passionate locals that there is is still an endless supply of green and blues ski runs out there… and not to forget mentioning- no lift lines either.
