Crested Butte Food and Wine Festival kicks off today with the celebrity chef tour benefiting the James Beard Foundation, a not-for-profit commited to celebrating, nurturing and preserving America’s diverse culinary heritage and future. The event takes place tonight at Uley’s Cabin at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
Awaken your wine senses on Friday and Saturday with all afternoon wine seminars. Events start at 1PM at the base area. Some of the seminars are Red Wines for Summer, Old World verses New World, Pinots: Noir and More, and my personal favorite- Bubbles.
On Saturday, the Grand Tasting wraps up the festival. Starting at 4PM, this event features 250 wines from around the world. Only 400 tickets will be sold to patrons with 5% of proceeds from ticket sales going to the Crested Butte Land Trust. There will also be an amazing food demonstration from Elise Wiggins, executive chef of Panzano in Denver.
Hope to see you there!
