Gunnison home owners adore the exceptional beauty that is literally around every turn. From blossoming wild flowers that paint the hillsides in color to native wildlife that also call Gunnison home, there is a little something for everyone in this magnificent part of the Rocky Mountains. If you’re into the culinary scene and are looking for a different experience altogether, considering taking a guided dinner float trip in Gunnison.
Hosted by Garlic Mike’s, an Italian restaurant that is nestled on the banks of the Gunnison River, the evening time river float trip is the ideal way to take in the rugged beauty of your surroundings.
In fact, this is the only dinner cruise in the area, so you can rest assured that the Gunnison River will be yours and yours alone while you work up an appetite. The dinner float kicks off at Three Rivers Resort and ends at Garlic Mike’s restaurant where you can fill-up on all kinds of amazing Italian delicacies after your float. And what better way to end the evening than overlooking the banks of the river with the sun setting in the distance?
The cost of the river float is $68 per person, however, each adult is given a $30 voucher to be used at the restaurant. Children receive $10 vouchers to be used toward their dinner. The price includes the cost of the float and river guide, and your vehicle will be shuttled down to Garlic Mike’s so you can collect it following your meal. Gratuities for both the river guide and dinner are additional.
You can take advantage of the dinner float trip seven days a week. In order to book, please allow 24 hours notice and assemble a party of four or more people. It takes approximately three hours to complete the 10-mile float.
